A beautiful mistake always done by fellow runners, "my first 5K/10K marathon". All too often we read or heard this statement. However the truth is that the marathon is a long-distance running event with an official distance of 42.195 kilometres (26 miles and 385 yards). There is no 5k or 10k marathon. 10k is 10k. It is not a marathon.
